Instructions:

1. Prepare the welding surfaces to be joined.
2. Connect the electrode to the welding machine.
3. Strike an arc between the electrode and the workpiece.
4. Move the electrode along the weld joint, maintaining a constant arc length.
5. Remove the slag from the weld using a chipping hammer.
